DR. KERRY DEYO

Dr. Kerry Deyo founded Upstate Chiropractic and Wellness in 2019 with a goal of serving the active population of Albany. She believes in combining traditional chiropractic techniques with soft tissue techniques and rehabilitative exercise to get her patients out of pain and back to doing what they love,.  In 2023 and 2024, Upstate Chiropractic and Wellness was voted Best Chiropractor in the Times Union "Best of the Capital Region".

Dr. Deyo is a native to the Albany area and graduated from Bethlehem Central High School. In 2012 she graduated from the College of Charleston cum laude. Dr. Deyo went on to attend New York Chiropractic College where she was inducted into the Phi Chi Omega Honors Society. She graduated in 2016 with honors and was additionally awarded the Clarence N. Flick Memorial Award for scholarly research.

 

She has earned certifications in Active Release Techniques (ART - Full Body Certified), Webster Technique, Rocktape, ConnecTX, and Birthfit, She also has additionally completed a Spinning Babies workshop and is a DONA Trained Birth Doula.  She is passionate about using these skills to treat the active population, as well as caring for prenatal and postpartum women. In her free time, Dr. Deyo enjoys spending time with her husband and their two toddlers, being active outdoors, and gardening.

DR. HAILEA PALMER

Dr. Haliea joined Upstate Chiropractic and Wellness as an associate in July 2022. She is a recent graduate of Northeast College of Health Sciences (formally New York Chiropractic College). She believes that with chiropractic technique and proper body mechanics her patients can decrease their pain and go back to what they love doing without risking further injuries.

Dr. Hailea grew up on the coast line of New Hampshire and moved to Albany with her husband. Prior to the move she lived in D.C where she was awarded the Chiropractic Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Hospital working with active duty military and organized an amputee clinic. She also gained experience working in the Labor and Delivery unit along side Midwives. In 2018, she graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Dr. Hailea has training in ConnectX, Whole Food Nutrition and Ergonomics and is Webster certified as well as Pre-and-Postnatal certified to further help her pregnant patients prepare and recover from labor. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks, traveling and spending time with her husband and German Shepard Leia; who will occasionally make an appearance at the office. .
